Despite the small size, this is an essential handbook into the thinking of a Witch Hunter for the warhammer roleplayer. It cleverly covers witch hunting tests and trials that ensuring that zealous witch hunting will never be far from paranoia. While not covering any particular warhammer rules this handbook will allow first and second edition witch hunters to carry on in their often over zealous hunt for Witches, Warlocks, Demons, Undead and anyone who may doubt the witch hunter's authority.

My only problem with this book was that it's bound in leather and I didn't know that before it turned up. I sent it back because of this - that is my only complaint (well that and that I can't now read a copy). It's a nice little background book - ideal for adding flavour to your campaign or character. A nice little bit of icing on your setting, it's not going change anything but it'll give you a greater understanding of the Empire. More useful for Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay than anything else. My stars rating is based on the contents, rather than my complaint.

Mildly entertaining- journal style reading that won't change your gameplay. Might influence a gamemaster to throw one in a campaign as an NPC but nothing in here will be used as a resource during a game.

If you like the oldschool witch hunters on the warhammer universe this book is for you its like an actual ref guide on weapons short stories facts on how to spot and find diff sighs of chaos taint etc hope they continue this series

OK. I appreciate what the other reviewer mentioned about thinking critically as you use a volume such as this. That is 100% true. However, how does that reviewer know that the TDNT misses the first century meanings of New Testament words. Sure, some words change in meaning quickly, but that doesn't mean they all do or that TDNT is unfaithful to the first century meaning. Use caution, sure; but don't throw this whole 10 volume set out because getting to the meaning of words is difficult. Come on...

This is really the most comprehensive explanation of the Greek word's in all the world.Every Pastor should have the full 10 volume set in their Library , of course if they do not know Greek it will not help them.

For more than three decades the Theological Dictionary of the New Testament has been my go-to reference when doing serious word study. The volumes contain a comprehensive study of the way words are used in the NT, and reference is also made to the use of these words in the LXX, Josephus, Philo, and the Church Fathers, among other sources. Volume 6 contains entries for words beginning with Pi Epsilon to Rho. (Words beginning with Pi Alpha can be found in Volume 5.)If you are building your set a volume or two at a time, pick up Volume 10 as soon as possible. This volume contains many indexes that are invaluable in helping find what one is looking for. Included are indexes of English Keywords, Greek Keywords, Hebrew and Aramaic Words, as well as an Index of Biblical References (including the Apocrypha).

For more than 30 years my TDNT set has been my primary reference when I'm working with the Greek text of the NT. Nothing compares with it when it comes to completeness. There is at least one entry for every NT word. This entry includes a comprehensive study of the word's usage in the NT, along with its usage in the LXX, Josephus, Philo, the Church Fathers, and elsewhere. Through this it is possible to gain a really good understanding of how this word is used. Volume 6 contains the entries for words beginning with Pi Epsilon to Rho. (Volume 5 contains words beginning with Pi Alpha.)If you are in the process of building your TDNT set one volume at a time, make sure you get Volume 10, the Index. This index greatly simplifies the process of finding where the word is discussed. I hope you have no time to check out this review just like my other reviews due to your busy schedule, because this is a XMAS gift for you.If you yourself enjoy seeing, reading, studying jet aircraft, or have a loved one that does... this is the book for you. I'm an honorably discharged Viet Nam Era Veteran and when I served I was on the ground and the jets were overhead. My full grown son has an Uncle who flew during Viet Nam and that among other reasons is why he has always had a fascination with jets.I researched a number of books dedicated to jets and this one looked like the best bet... and I was on pins and needles awaiting its delivery... hoping it was as good as it sounded. Wow! What a beautifully put together treasure. This should be quite a conversation piece for years to come as a coffee-table-book proudly displayed. The quality of the construction is superb. It is approximately 12 ½" X 9 ¼" and almost 1 ½" thick. (And it weighs close to FIVE POUNDS.) It has a beautiful colorful book jacket and each individual page is thick and glossy. The pictures are exquisite and the drawings are akin to an architect's blueprint and are eye-catching.The jets are listed chronologically from 1942 to the present. Even a novice such as myself will get caught up in the excitement just by randomly looking through the pages and stopping and checking key statistics that range from dimensions to weights to fuel to PERFORMANCE (THAT'S SPEED BABY!) and armament. When you see speeds listed past 1,000 MPH it's hard not to sigh and want to discuss it with someone. From beautiful external pictures of these man-made-lethal beasts to pictures of innumerable cockpits that epitomizes the evolution of the actual "guts" of these soaring testimonials to military precision.This highly-highly recommended book embodies the adage of "it is better to give than receive"... as I can't wait to see my son's reaction when he opens this gift! I will share the experience with you in a month or so.

This was a gift for my 12 year old. He loves it. It is beautiful, detailed, and organized. It is a large, heavy book with high quality pictures and diagrams. While I'm no expert on the content, which looks very informative, my son seems to be learning a lot from it. He loves fighter jets, war history, and military tech. Very good overview of jet fighters. It has lots of very good photos and details. It's pretty current, with the Rafale and its SPECTRA system being mentioned.

This one is easy. The book is factually correct and fun to read. I'm ex-air force and this book was just a joy to read. There is no person who is mechanically-minded that wouldn't enjoy this reading. To see the different planes compared and beautifully illustrated is amazing. Even the French and Russian planes are well explained and helped me appreciate their design. And the material of the book itself was excellent. Every guy that visits my house will grab this one. The down side? I've got to buy some for my friends.

Great book for general info. Not a reference book

When I first saw this book on Amazon I didn't know if it was good or not for the reason that there was no preview of the book and I usually don't buy a book without seeing at least a few pages inside and this was no exception. So I found a good preview of it on Google books search and it looked awesome.I got this shipment (to Israel), which contained another book, after only 6 days (fastest shipment I ever got from Amazon so far) and I was surprised to see that it was a lot bigger than I expected and the book itself was like jets heaven.It has 2 sections: classic jets from 1945 - 1960 and modern jets from 1960 until now. each page has a picture of a jet, but the reason I bought it was for the diagrams and orthographic views (most have side, front and top views) which was perfect for me since I got it mostly as a reference for drawing. Also there are many different jets there and I was kinda surprised to also find the Israeli Kfir there.The diagrams are very detailed with the names of each part and although I just got it today and I still haven't gotten the chance to really read it, it does seem to contain most of the information I need to know about the different jets.Bottom line, it's AWESOME and I really wish the author would also make one about battle helicopter gun ships. And also a preview of the book will definitely help people understand what they are about to buy. I hate looking hours for a review all over the web.
