I like Randy Frazee. I've had the privilege of hearing his teaching in person. He is forthright in this book about what happens after you die, backed up by scripture references, for those who believe in Jesus and those who do not. The book is readable and engaging, but most of all reassuring. Yes, Jesus is enough. The book can also serve as a great future reference or for discussion with those who do not believe and have questions.
Having heard Randy Frazee preach at Oak Hills Church, I eagerly awaited his new book. It met or exceeded my expectations, in that Randy always stays true to scripture and is exceptionally honest. He freely admits there is much we don't know about heaven, but he answers the most basic question of all--is accepting Christ as your savior enough to qualify you for eternity in His presence? He used the story of his mother's death to illustrate his own fearful doubts about Heaven, during the last three days of her life. It's comforting to me to know that even the pastor of a large church has doubts from time to time. I did learn a new concept, that of an "intermediate" place after death for believers, before Christ returns to Earth. Not "purgatory," but another place that precedes the magnificent "streets of gold" city described in Revelation. I have never heard this before, but it is interesting. Randy also discusses in great detail Hades, hell, the lake of fire and the fate of those who will face judgement. I plan to re-read several chapters to gain a better understanding, and use the selected scriptures as a study guide. Since most likely nobody is getting out of here alive, I highly recommend "What Happens After You Die" for all Christians, or those who are curious about what may await us when this life's door closes, and that mysterious one on the other side opens.
This is an amazing book. It helps the reader understand what happens when we die from a biblical perspective. A true support for someone with a loved one that may be in poor health or the reader themselves. This book helps people venture past their fear of death and death denial to find plain sense comfort and hope.
I have lost loved ones including my husband. I have read the Bible. This book explained the afterlife in such a way that the reader can understand it. All my questions were answered and the book put my fears to rest. I highly recommend it.
What a reassuring book. There is such confusion about the life after we leave earth and Randy Frazee has presented remarkable Biblical research that gives hope to all those who follow Jesus. Questions that plague so many are answered and leave us looking forward to the Great Reunion with loved ones and to finally see Jesus "Face to Face."
The book was not what I was expecting. I thought it was going to talk more about Heaven. That wasn't the case..
Found the book very interesting. It refers first to scripture and revelations and then interprets. Very different from catholic teaching and tv and movie ideas. But makes a lot more sense.
I found this book to be comforting and reassuring as i mourn the loss of a loved one. Mr. Frazee covers what life is like with and without Jesus and how it affects us in the afterlife. I encourage anyone to read this book and give it thought about what it talks about.
